Wind Tunnel Models

	PRECISION FORCE & MOMENT MODELS Our projects have included 3-D, scaled, close tolerance, precision metal high and low-speed performance models. The models are designed and fabricated from initial customer proved 3-D loft to completion within tight schedule constraints. These models are tested under low to hypersonic speeds at temperatures ranging from cryogenic to over 1200°F suspended from an internal or external force and moment balance. Simple, straight-forward 3-D low speed lift and drag models have also been fabricated from wood and composite materials to meet customer's fast paced research testing and evaluation schedules. Models can be instrumented with static and dynamic pressure taps, thermocouples, and strain-gauged control surfaces installed and calibrated for hinge movement and 3-component balance testing. Control surfaces are set manually or remotely. Complete sets of detail drawings, stress and quality inspection reports are provided with the model at completion.

JET EFFECT & PROPULSION MODELS

ATI has produced Jet Effects Propulsion models for testing in Wind Tunnels and on Static Test Stands. These models range from Inlet Fore Body and Jet Exhaust, to complete 3-D precision propulsion models. Models can be tested with hot and cold flow propulsion, and instrumented with static and dynamic pressure taps and thermocouples.

DYNAMIC SCALED MODELS

Inertia scaled models for spin stability, free flight, and drop testing in addition to frequency scaled models for flutter testing have been produced using the latest in composite material technology and analytical methods. These models can be equipped with internal remote control devices.

MISCELLANEOUS MODELS

Other types of scaled models produced by ATI are Ditching, Water Tank, Boats, Sub-scale Display and Radio Control Models.
